Install and connect your store

Add Compliant Copy from the Shopify App Store. On install, the app syncs your entire product catalog. No manual uploads, no CSV imports.

What happens automatically

  • Product titles, types, tags, vendors, and ingredients are pulled from your Shopify admin
  • Each product is auto-classified as supplement, cosmetic, or general FDA-regulated product
  • Classification uses product type, tags, and title signals. You can override it in settings

Generate compliant copy

Open any product in the app and click Generate Compliant Copy. The app runs a two-layer compliance check: a deterministic rules engine flags obvious violations (disease names, drug-claim verbs, banned product classes), then an AI reviewer catches implied and contextual claims the rules engine cannot.

What the app generates

  • SEO title (under 70 characters)
  • Meta description (under 160 characters)
  • Full product description (100-200 words)
  • 5 bullet-point features
  • 3 FAQ pairs
  • The correct FDA disclaimer appended automatically (DSHEA for supplements, cosmetic-use for beauty)

Category-specific rules

  • Supplements: DSHEA structure/function language, 21 CFR 101, disease-name detection, drug-verb banning
  • Cosmetics: FD&C 201(i) cosmetic-drug line, 21 CFR 700, before/after framing, sensitive ingredient limits
  • Brand voice: Set your tone (friendly, clinical, bold, premium), target audience, and differentiator. The app writes in your voice while staying compliant

Review the diff and publish

After generation, you see the original copy alongside every flagged claim. Red flags (disease claims) must use the compliant rewrite. Yellow flags (borderline claims) let you choose the original or the suggestion. Nothing touches your store until you click Apply to Product.
