FDA-compliant product copy, handled for you
Compliant Copy auto-detects whether your Shopify product is a supplement or cosmetic, applies the right FDA rules, rewrites violations, and publishes clean copy back to your store.
The problem
One wrong verb is a drug claim
The FDA does not send friendly reminders. “Cures,” “treats,” “prevents,” and “heals” turn your supplement or cosmetic into an unapproved drug. Warning letters are public, expensive, and bad for business.
How it works
Three steps to compliant copy
Install and connect
Add Compliant Copy to your Shopify store. It syncs your product catalog automatically.
Generate compliant copy
Pick a product and click Generate. The app detects whether it is a supplement or cosmetic and applies the right FDA rules.

FAQ
Common questions
Will this prevent FDA warning letters?
Compliant Copy catches the most common violations: disease claims, drug-claim verbs, and cosmetic-drug line crossings. It significantly reduces your risk, but no automated tool replaces legal counsel for novel claims.
Does this work with my Shopify theme?
Yes. Compliant Copy writes to your product description, SEO fields, and metafields via the Shopify Admin API. It works with any theme.
Can I edit the copy before it publishes?
Absolutely. After generation, you review every section. Yellow flags let you choose the original or the rewrite. Red flags require the compliant rewrite. Nothing publishes until you click Apply.
What product categories are supported?
Supplements (DSHEA/21 CFR 101), cosmetics and beauty (21 CFR 700/FD&C 201(i)), and a generic FDA-regulated fallback. The app auto-detects the category from your product data.
